Two releases from this band in 2023, plus 2-4-1 on Total Punk which compiles both Feel It cassettes (s/t debut from '22 plus this one) ... they could just as easily be a Melbourne band, and that's a high compliment
Includes Arron Mawson, who runs Legless, is in Split System, Stiff Richards, and other Melbourne bands you know. Nice profile of him here: https://gimmiezine.com/2023/07/26/arron-mawson-legless/
One of the bazillion bands I follow on the social media posted about a show they were doing in Seattle, and I said "Maybe I'll check out the other bands on the bill," and here we are.
Ishka Edmeades (Satanic Togas, Set-Top Box, RRC, Gee Tee, Remote Control, Mainframe...) debut LP at TV Repairman(n) ... the video for this track is delightful.
In another 20 years, we'll forget what happened here. That's a yes indeed... They had this release, followed by Chick Problems, and a couple of tracks on a Jay Reatard tribute comp in '23
Thank the baby Jeebus for The Chives, motherfucker alright. Hands-down my favorite release of 2023.

Top labels in my favorites this year: Total Punk, Feel It, Trouble In Mind. Most represented cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Montreal, Cincinnati. It was a particularly good year for midwestern U.S. post-punk.
