The album features classic Bob Marley and The Wailers tracks that were produced and recorded by Lee “Scratch” Perry in 1968. Producer Doctor Dread came up with the idea of having U-Roy add his rap/toasting spin.

Cinder Well is California-born, Irish-based songwriter Amelia Baker. Her music "strips traditional forms to their bones, creating a meditative, trance-like space for sonic healing."
