* - David Crosby's displeasure at recording the outside composition "Goin' Back" for this album, was one several factors that led to his firing in Oct 1967; he felt it was a step backwards artistically, since The Byrds contained three active songwriters.

This song provided the title for the 2007 ballet which Mitchell authored with Jean Grand-Maître, the artistic director of the Alberta Ballet Company.
