Part 1 of our conversation with author and activist J.CHESTER JOHNSON. His book is called "Damaged Heritage: The Elaine Race Massacre and a Story of Reconciliation" which recounts the history of a mass murder of upwards of 200 African Americans by white vigilantes, Ku Klux Klan members and federal troops in September and October 1919. However, this horrific event sets in motion an eventual SCOTUS decision that extends due process of law to all American citizens. And takes author Chester Johnson on a journey of discover as he realizes his beloved grandfather was a participant in the massacre.
