This all-woman a capella group was formed in Washington, DC in 1973. This album, "25" was released on the 25th anniversary of the group's formation. They are very well-known and have performed for dignitaries around the world. This is the group's take on the eponymous Bob Marley classic, released in 1980.
This is a project headed by Alynda Segarra, a New Yorker of Puerto Rican descent. This song includes part of a poem written and read by Pedro Pietri, titled "Puerto Rican Obituary." This song bears similarity to The Beatles' "A Day in the Life."
