Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues Interview Show The Moody Blues began in 1964 as an R&B outfit that included Denny Laine, later of Paul McCartney's Wings, who sang their first hit "Go Now." Laine left and Justin Hayward was recruited to replace him. Also new to the band was John Lodge, joining original members Mike Pindar, Ray Thomas, and Graeme Edge to release seven mystical, romantic and often transcendent musical documents from 1967-1972. Hayward wrote the two classic songs "Knights in White Satin" and "Tuesday Afternoon" from their first symphonic masterwork, 1967's Days of Future Past. He also penned most of the Moody's other hits, and began an intermittent solo career when the band took a four year hiatus in the '70s. After over 70 million albums sold, The Moody Blues were finally inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame this past April. Justin Hayward talks about that honor and much more in this two hour special, featuring lots of the wonderful music he and his band made.
